JEFFERSON, Ore.– “It was actually pretty fun. I was just really happy,” Jefferson Edgar Ramos said.
It was one of those fun Senior Nights that had the home crowd going nuts on every shot that went up. Ramos, Brady Baxter and Eyles Chouikha from Tunisia all had their moment in the spotlight.
Every time they hit a shot, the crowd erupted in the Lions 80-43 win over Oakridge Saturday afternoon. Ramos and Baxter each finished with five while Chouikha finished with seven points, playing in his first year ever of organized basketball.
“It was fun. I went in there, I played hard and I said to myself, ‘whatever happened. I’m going to have fun’ and that’s what I did,” Chouikha said. “I’ve never been to the playoffs, let alone…this is my first year ever playing basketball so it’s always new. It’s always amazing, it’s always fun.”

Cody Jurgens and Jace Aguilar, on their Senior Night as well, led the way each with 11 and 12 points respectively. Eli Stelly added nine with Jefferson flushing out their lone Central Valley Conference loss with this sound win going into next Saturday’s CVC League Playoff Championship Game.
“It was a very good win, we needed to come back and really show that was a mistake on our part for rebounds,” Jurgens said of their East Linn loss. “We just got to work hard and really focus on practice.”
Jamison Roache led the way with 21 points for the Warriors.
