1A-6A Baseball/Softball Scoreboard for April 28

From Santiam and Regis to West Salem and Silverton, a lot of games occurred and players put in the work Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Here is some Salem-Area results from 1A to 6A:

6A/5A Baseball

Crosby Albee hit a home run as Albee led the offense with 2RBIs in West Salem’s 6-1 win over Central.  BJ Amador struck out eight in six innings for the Titans.  Seth White had two hits for the Panthers

Sprague’s Dayton Walker and Carsen Vankempen each drove in 2RBI’s each in the Olympians 10-2 win over Corvallis at home.  Eli Lowe struck out three in four innings, Quinn Altmann and Rory Lampe contributed two strikeouts in relief.

West Albany 6, McNary 5

Crescent Valley 12, South Salem 3. Ricky Alvarado drove in 2RBI’s for the Saxons in the home game at Gilmore Park. Walker Still hit two he runs for the Raiders.


North Marion 7, Gladstone 6

Cascade 11, Woodburn 1


Grant Vogel hit a three-run home run in Regis’ 13-3 win over Oakridge on the road, Vogel finished with 4RBI’s in the victory for the 4-4 Rams.  Mason Koenig struck out five in five innings for Regis.

Isaiah Sullivan drove in 3RBI’s for Salem Academy in their 16-2 win over Sheridan. Jonathan Coulter-Pride struck out four in five innings for the Crusaders. The Spartans Walker McCallister went 2-for-2 and Ty Tomlinson struck out three in two innings.

Caleb Rodriguez struck out two in an inning and went 1-for-2 with 2RBI’s in Jefferson’s tough 10-6 loss to East Linn Christian on the road.  Danny Aguilar also drove in 2RBI’s as the Lions collected nine hits on the day.

Western Christian 7, St. Paul 5

Reagan Davis drove in 3RBIs as West Salem defeats Central 7-2.  The Titans hit three home runs in the game.  Emily Cole, Peyton Forman and Emily Newbeck collected a hit for the Panthers.

Sophia Honse struck out 13 in six innings and went 2-for-2 with an RBI in Sprague’s tough 9-3 defeat to Corvallis at Corvallis.  Hayley McCuistion also drove in a run for the Olympians.

McNary jumped out to a 7-0 lead in their 13-3 win over West Albany at home, handing the Bulldogs their first loss of the season.

Westview 12, South Salem 4


Mila Perez struck out three in five innings and Braezen Henderson drove in 5RBIs in Silverton’s 12-2 win over North Salem.   Kaitlyn Horn and Maribella Garcia drove in RBis for the Vikings 

Brook Dunkin, Katie Buchholz, Morgan Dippel and Kacey Jordan collected 2RBIs in Dallas’ 14-0 win over McKay


Dayton’s Maddie Fluke threw a 11-strikeout, one-hitter in the Pirates 6-2 win over Scio.


Abby Jepesen, Hannah Walliman and Crystal Campbell all drove in 2RBIs in Cascade’s 9-4 win over Sweet Home.  Walliman struck out four in seven innings.


Kelsey Kleinschmit drives in 5RBIs for Kennedy, who won their seventh game in a row, defeating St. Paul 19-0.  Stella Koch collected the lone hit for Buckaroos.

Colton 17, Regis 3 in five innings
