OREGON CITY, ORE.–  The Ladies of Chemeketa stormed their way to third place in the NWAC South Wednesday night when they spoiled Clackamas’ Sophomore Night with a 25-16, 25-23, 25-13 sweep of the Cougars to end their season 15-11 overall and 9-5 in the NWAC South Division.

After starting the night dominate in the first set, the the Storm seemed laxed as Clackamas built a 8-5 lead and looked to have the momentum before Chemeketa roared back to within one, 15-14 before the Cougs called time trying to disrupt the Storm.

It slowed Chemeketa a bit as Clackamas hanged around for the reminder of the set, but the Storm would pull off the comeback to take set two as they used a 7-1 advantage to start the third set to complete the sweep Wednesday night as the Cougars fall to 18-21 overall and 5-9 in the NWAC South and in sixth in the division.

Taija Jones of the Storm had a game high 14 Kills, Jones and Tori Bennett had a team-high in Digs with 17, while Clackamas’ Aysia Killingbeck had a game high 20 digs in the contest. Chemeketa’s Madison Ross had a game high 32 assist.
