Track Round-Up

Several local teams were at the Amity Invite, Stayton Invite, Portland Christian Invite, Kennedy Twilight Invitational, Dean Nice Invitational and the Rob Allen Invitational.

Here’s a round-up

Amity Invite

Boys Track and Field

Cascade’s Josiah Hawkins won the 100-meter dash and was third in the 200-meter dash.  The Cougars Jacob Gehley finished second in the 400-meter race.  Cascade’s Nolan Lesniak won the 110-meter hurdles.  Amity’s Con Coelho finished second in the 300-meter hurdles.  Cascade’s 4×100 meter relay team of Bryce Kuenzi, Dalton Kuenzi, Jacob Gehley and Josiah Hawkins won the event with the Amity 4×100 relay team of Trenton Ruston, Andrew Grove, Kiyan Vrell and Bradley Sexton finishing second.

Amity’s Brody Horn finished second in the Shot Put with Cascade’s Bryce May and Jefferson’s Jerry Hamlin finishing third and fourth.  Cascade’s Liam Brewer finished second in the Discus.  Amity’s Kiyan Vrell won the Javelin, Brooks Rasmussen finished third in the event.  Jefferson’s Andrew Keena finished second in the High Jump.  Cascade’s Eli Atiyeh and Bryce Kuenzi went one-two in the Pole Vault.

Girls Track and Field

Amity’s Mya Haarsma and Eliza Nisly went one-two in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.  Cascade’s Lillian Pickett and Makenna Fraser went one-two in the 400-meter race.  Jefferson’s Gretchen Orton finished second in the 800-meter race.  Cascade’s Makaila Kuenzi won the 1,500-meter race.  Cascade’s Lexi Newton finished second in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles, Newton also won the High Jump..  Amity’s 4×100-meter relay team of Adie Nisly, Eliza Nisly, Alyssa McMullen and Mya Haarsma won the event with Cascade’s Makenna Fraser, Makenna Burns, Allison Course and Lillan Picketta finishing second.

Cascade’s Kalina Saechao won the Shot Put, Discus,  Amity’s Kylie Wilson won the Javelin and finished second in the Shot Put.  Cascade’s Brayley Ford finished second in the discus and Javelin while finishing fourth in the Shot Put.  Jefferson’s Holly Gay won the Pole Vault with a PR Jump of 8-feet and was third in the Triple Jump.  Amity’s Eliza Nisly won the Long Jump.

Stayton Invite

Boys Track and Field

Woodburn’s Joaquin Parsons won the 100-meter dash and the High Jump.  McKay’s Adboulie Jallow won the 400-meter race, Salem Academy’s Noah Dettwyler was second.  Regis’ Julius Pokorny won the 800-meter race.  Dettwyler won the 300-meter hurdles with Stayton’s Riley Burns finishing second.  The McKay 4×100 relay team of Michael Charles, Musa Jallow, Kyle Her and Abdoulie Jallow won the event.  Stayton’s 4×400 meter rlay team of Riley Burns, Kaden Holm, Joshua Davis and Xaiver Pennington finishing second in the event.  

Salem Academy’s Caleb McGraw won the shot put.  Woodburn’s Sergio  Bravo finished second in the Discus.  North Marion’s Kyle Manning and Salem Academy’s Ridge Jantzi went one-two in the Javelin.  Woodburn’s Carter Pickett won the Long Jump

Girls Track and Field

Salem Academy’s Celia James, Santiam’s Averie Peterson, North Marion’s Macallan Cutsforth and Regis’ Clara Persons went one through four in the 400-meter race.  Stayton’s Haley Butenschoen won the 800-meter race, Peterson and James went second and third in the event.  Peterson PR’d in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 5:00.92.  McKay’s Isabel Zamora Mercado won the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles.  Stayton’s Evelyn Welch finished second in the 300-meter hurdles.  Stayton’s 4×400 meter relay team of Haley Butenschoen, Kennedy Holm, Evelyn Welch and Madelyn Olson won the event.

Regis’ Kaylee Silbernagel won the shot put.  Woodburn’s Hannah Peterson and the Rams Adelle Otter went one-two in the Javelin.  Salem Academy’s Emma Brewer won the High Jump and finished second in the Triple Jump.  Stayton’s Ruby Strawn finished second Pole Vault.

Portland Christian Invite

Boys Track and Field

Willamette Valley Christian’s Caleb Reichelt won the High Jump and finished third in the Long Jump.  Chris Saldivar finished fifth in the Javelin  Delphian’s Oli Beauregard finished third in the 100-meter dash and the 300-meter hurdles.  Lucas Curry won the 400-meter race and the 300-meter hurdles.  London Whitworth finished second in the 800-meter race and fourth in the 1,500-meter race.  The Delphian 4×100-meter relay team of Tai Jefford, Alex Maddox, Greyson McLean and Oli Beauregard finished second in the event.

Girls Track and Field

Delphian’s Avery Ott finished second in the 400-meter race and was third in the 800-meter race.  Delphian’s Addy Wolfe finished sixth in the 1,500-meter race.  Liv Curry finished third in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles.  The Delphian 4×100-meter relay team of Regina Romero-Bolanos, Avery Ott, Piper Gibson and Allahta persons finished second in the event.  Amy Guy finished fourth in the Triple Jump.  Amelia Peterson finished fifth in the Javelin.

Kennedy Twilight Invitational

Boys Track and Field

Gervais’ Gotti Ramon won the 100-meter dash and finished second in the 300-meter hurdles.  Falls City’s Chris Sickles PR’s in the 110-meter Hurdles, breaking the school record.  Kennedy’s Cole Vogel finished second in the 110-meter hurdles.

Santiam’s Cole Twede won the Shot Put.  Blanchet’s James Barnett, Kennedy’s Cole Voel and Gervais’ Angel Cortes went one, two, three in the Discus.  Blanchet’s Jackson Mucke, Kenedy’s Isaac Berning and Elijah Traeger went one, two, three in the Javelin.  Gervais’ Monty Andres and Blanchet’s Carson Smith went one, two in the High Jump.  Gervais’ Isaiah Martushev won the Pole Vault.  Kennedy’s Stephen Handran finished second in the Long Jump.  Gervais’ Gotti Ramon and Blanchet’s Jackson Mucken went one, two in the Triple Jump

Girls Track and Field

Santiam’s Averie Peterson won the 100-meter dash, Blanchet’s Tatum Fleming finished second.  Fleming finished second in the 200-meter race.  Peterson also won the 400-meter and 800-meter races.  Kennedy’s Yulissa Chavez Cortes finished second in teh 800-meter race.  Kennedy’s Nora Brenden and Amber Handran finished second in the 1,500-meter and 100-meter Hurdles respectively.

Blanchet’s Molly Mucken won the Shot Put and was second in the Discus.  Kennedy’s Tia Allen won the Discus.  Kennedy’s Isabel Berning finished second in the Javelin.  Blanchet’s Horte Gemedo finished second High Jump.  Blanchet’s Grace Mucken won the Pole Vault and Kennedy’s Alyse Williams won the Long Jump.  Blanchet’s Tatum Fleming finished second in the Triple Jump.

Dean Nice Invitation in Gresham.

South Salem’s Tyler Giener finished fifth in the 400-meter race.  Lucy Becker finished second in the 800-meter race.  Chole Kolb finished fourth in the 1,500-meter race.  Leila Fajer finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.  Hatimu Letisi won the Shot Put.  Calvin Stewart won the High Jump.  Griffin Haider won the Long Jump.

Rob Allen Twilight Invitational

Girls Track and Field.

The Dallas Girls Track and Field team won the team award as Annika Morrow won the 100-meter dash, finished second in the 200-meter dash.  Greta Scales finished second in the 400-meter race.  Amber Green finished second in the 1,500-meter race.  Tennyson Nash finished second in the 3,000-meters.  Merced Ward won the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles with Jana Deming finishing second in the 300-meter hurdles.  The Dragons 4×400-meter relay won the event with their 4×100-meter relay team finished second.  Anna Button finished second in the Shot Put.  Elizabeth Walker won the High Jump,  Jana Deming won the Pole Vault event.  Merced Ward finished second in the Long Jump.

Boys Track and Field

McNary’s Pawat Potisuk finished second in the 400-meter race.   Dallas’ William Walker won the 110-meter hurdles with a 16.14 PR.  The Dragons’ Sean Ward won the 300-meter Hurdles with a 42.85 PR as Dallas finished fourth as a team.
