AURORA, Ore.– Yamhill-Carlton has been a surprise this season as they challenged teams like Blanchet and Cascade and they were at it again versus North Marion Friday when they took a 11-10 lead after the first quarter.
But, the Lady Huskies found their groove during the second and third quarters as they outscored the Tigets 39-10 en route to a 55-32 win.
“Everyone contributed and the bench played very well,” said Head Coach Trevor Bodine on the performance.
Emily Scanlan scored a team-high 13 points as the sophomore showed off once more her defensive skills in the victory.
With the win, and a Stayton loss to Cascade Friday, the North Marion Lady Huskies sit two full games over the Lady Eagles and are a game behind the Lady Cougars for the Oregon West Conference lead with three games left in the season.
