GERVAIS, Ore.– The Salem Academy Crusaders held an upcoming offense of Gervais to 10.5-percent to go into halftime up 36-5 in their 58-19 victory to improve to 14-1 on the season and 3-1 in the PacWest Conference.
In 19 minutes of play, junior Sydney Brown had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) and had a bid for a triple-double with five blocks to lead Salem Academy in the victory. Aimee Smith had 16 points and 6 rebounds during 19 minutes of time herself.
Freshman Isabel ‘Izzy’ Vasquez scored 11 points with 4-12 from the field and 3-6 from the line for Gervais (6-7, 1-2 PacWest) to go with three steals in the game in 26 minutes of play.
The Lady Cougars will be traveling to Jefferson Saturday to play Jefferson High School at 4pm and the Crusaders will play host to Amity Monday at home at 6:45pm. Karina Ramos led the Cougars with five rebounds.
