STAYTON, Ore.–At one point in the Eagles win, the Tigers had a 8-6 lead on Stayton.
But that was until the offense and defense of the Eagles roared to life as they took a 20-8 lead with 10:10 left in the ball game followin Aidan Hill’s score.
Jerry Daniels added another one before Yamhill answered back to make it 26-14.
Seth Daily got the score back as Daniels tacked on a two-point conversion to make it a 34-14 lead.
The defense that helped turn the game around had it’s turn for glory with a date with the scoreboard as Issac Luna turned a interception in six-points and with the two-point conversion made it 42-14 as Stayton will continue this momentum into Homecoming versus North Marion on October 12 for the battle for first-place in the Oregon West Conference.
The Hoco game will also be Senior Night for the Eagles.
