GERVAIS, Ore.–  As most teams in Oregon were having Friday night, Gervais was one of many who played host to their Homecoming game.

The Cougars traded blows with Wilamina as they lead 16-14 over the Bulldogs entering halftime.

The two scores for Gervais came from River Moss (50 yards) and Dyontae Navarrete on a rushing score as the Cougs converted on back-to-back two point conversions.

But the Gervais offense that has been scoring at least 20 points this season sputtered to a stop as Wilamina took the lead and didn’t relinquish the lead since taking the lead at the 4:10 mark of the third quarter.

The Cougars (2-3, 1-1 PacWest) will be playing host to Salem Academy.  The Crusaders sit at 3-2 and 2-1 in the PacWest league following their 68-0 win over Chemawa Friday Night.
