STAYTON, Ore.–The Young Eagles had their first big challenge to start the 2016 season:
McLoughlin.
The Pioneers were the 21st-ranked team in 4A in 2015 before losing to Sisters in the first-round 4-0.
But, behind a strong defensive output, all it took was one goal to decide the winner of this game. That goal, by way of David Ramirez that gave the Eagles a 1-0 win.
“We played really good defense, Cole (Atiyeh), Jose Gomez, and Junior (Hernandez) did great,” said Head Coach Chris Shields on his defense.
