GRANTS PASS, Ore.–  The North Salem Baseball team had it all going versus Grants Pass Thursday with a quick 5-0 lead.

But the lead was short lived as the Caveman came back to forced extra innings as they scored seven of the game’s next eight runs to win 7-6.

Noah Boatwright got the scoring off right in the first inning had he had a bases clearing triple in a bases loaded situation before taking home as the Vikings scored four in the opening inning.

North Salem would add one more run to their lead in the second before the Grants Pass rally happen, starting with two runs in the third inning.

The Caveman added one more in the fourth before Reyes Luna brought Boatwright home on RBI hit to give the Viks a 6-3 lead entering the bottom of the fifth inning.

That lead would be short-live as Grants Pass tied it up in the bottom half of the inning and would go on to take the game in the bottom half of the eighth inning when Grants Pass’ Jake Stoffel hit the game winning home run.
