SEASIDE, Ore.– After dropping their opening game of the Seaside Tournament at Broadway Field 15-2 to Hockinson of Washington Friday, the McKay Royal Scot baseball responded well Saturday and Sunday.
In their Saturday morning match-up versus Hoquiam however, the Scots pulled off a 4-3 victory over Hoquiam of Hoquiam, Washington for their first win of the 2016 campaign for the McKay Nine.
With that momentum from their Saturday epic win, the Royal Scots’ bats came to life in their Sunday match-up versus another Washington squad in Elma. Despite giving up seven runs defensively, those bats of McKay proved beneficial with 12 runs in the 12-7 victory to close out the Tournament.
Now 2-2 on the season and riding a two-game winning streak, the Scots will turn their focus to Franklin Friday to continue their winning ways at home. First pitch is scheduled for 5pm
