TURNER, Ore.– The rivialry took a turn for the worse from the get-go between the Cascade and Stayton Lady Eagles Friday night in the Oregon West Conference.
Behind a 36-19 halftime lead, the Cougars sailed to a 20-point 69-49 victory with the help of 18 points from Alyssa St. Peter and 16 from Hallie Wright.
The Eagles tried to make a rally in the second half, but couldn’t muster more than 15-points a quarter despite making five three-pointers, two from Alyssa Lindemann as he finished with seven points in the contest.
Mariah Hollenbeck had a Stayton (11-5, 2-2 OWC) Team High nine points as the Lady Eagles turn their focus to Philomath (5-11, 1-3 OWC) at Philomath to break their two-game skid Tuesday Night.
As for number one Cascade Cougs (17-1, 4-0 OWC), they turn their focus to the Huskies of North Marion (13-5, 4-0 OWC) for a battle for the OWC-Lead Tuesday night at home.
