ASTORIA, Ore.– A 18-3 third quarter helped separate the 9th-ranked Stayton Lady Eagles Basketball team and the Astoria Fishermen for a 46-37 in their second leg of a three-leg road trip.
Stayton (7-3) led 20-19 entering the third quarter before going on a 18-3 run to lead 38-22 entering the fourth quarter.
However, their shot feel cold against the 19th-ranked Astoria defense with a eight-point fourth frame.
But, the eight points were enough to with last the Fishermen’s 15 point output in the frame to go two-for-two this point in the Eagles three-game road trip.
Sierra Shelton led the team with 12 points and two three-pointers. Cholee Hunt had a game-high 16 points for Astoria.
