ROSEVILLE, CALIF.– With four months to go until the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Roseville Cheer Squad are once again on the fundraising trail.
This time, they are doing it on their own stomping grounds: Roseville High School.
On August 1, the Tigers Cheer Squad are hosting a yard sale in the front parking lot of the high school that features over 100 individuals and families who are selling items to help Roseville pay for the travel expenses.
Vendors such as Tupperware, Lifeshotz and Beach Body will also be at the high school selling products as well.
“The goals of the sale are to make a dent in the cost of each cheerleaders cost to travel to New York City to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” said Communication Coordinator Sarah Nolan. “Each girl participating will need to pay more than $2,500 for travel and expenses.
“Each family is paying the costs individually, but we hope the fundraising will help ease the expense a bit.”
Fundraising has gone well to this point for the trip said Nolan with the help of the hard work of the Cheer families.
“Fundraising is going well thanks to some wonderful, generous individuals and hard-working Cheer families,” Nolan said. “We just wrapped a catalog/online party with Stella & Dot. I have a very generous friend who is donating her commission from the sales generated by the party.
“We have another parent who is coordinating a For Her Defense party, in the same vein as Avon, Stella & Dot, etc. The For Her Defense rep is donating 50% of her commission to the team.”
For the yard sale, it’s just another step in the process of getting to New York.
Roseville will be offering a parking space-sized for $20 which are good size and are well shaded by trees said Nolan and are expected to go fast. The $20 will go towards the expense of the trip for each girl.

The event will be from 7am until 1pm at the high school and Nolan expects more than 1,000 people to come to the event.
