December 21, 2012, is consider the “End of the World”.  A time in which global disaster will wipe out the Earth.

I believe this is Bullcrap.  This is just like the whole Y2K crisis in 1999/2000 in which people are complaining that something bad will happen because of x-,y- and z-reasons.

During the Y2K crisis, we are complaining that our computers will not be able to read a “2” as the first number and will dive our global society into a nose dive sending us back into the dark ages.  So people stocked up on supplies, paid off debts, got those DVD players (when they were first coming out), computers and new cars without interest until 2001 and later.  Overall freaking out over a small problem.

Look what happen.  Nothing.

Now in 2012; I look at December 21, 2012 just like the Y2K situation.  The Mayans forecast the end of the world on this date.  People are freaking out, stocking up like they did years ago on supplies, etc.

But, look at this.  This “End of the World” thing is, in reality, just end of one cycle and start of another one.  Just like a new calendar year because crap we don’t freak out like this everytime we start a new year.

Also too, the Mayans don’t have a solid track record on this type of issue.  So they’re not a solid source to this.

Some also say that it is a second coming in a religious format on this date.  Let me ask this.  To our respectable religious aspects, sure I know this being a Christian, do we honestly think the guy up stairs will tell us when he is coming back down?  No, because it is a test.  If he told us when it’s coming, we will all be “normal” and “perfect”.

Just like with Y2K, theories behind this strikes me as odd in my opinion.  This is, in my opinion, is just another day.  No changes, no worries, no problems.  Just another day, nothing more nothing less.
