So I’ve been sort of paying attention to these primaries that the Republicans have been doing since mid-late part of 2011 for this years presidential election. After watching all of this, just one thing sticks out for me.
Why is it that every time candidates run for a election, they throw one another under the bus?
I mean at first they stick to their guns of “I’m the best person for the job because of x,y and z reasons”; but after the first wave or two of delegates come in or even one or two debates, it changes to “Well he’s bad because he smoked pot once when he was in college and now he’s against it” or “He never fought in a war so he doesn’t understand the war efforts”.
I’m all for saying something bad about an opponent once or twice if I had a great reason behind it, (similar to what Ron Paul did to Newt Grinrich a few weeks ago about fighting in Vietnam and family), but doing it at every single debate because your opponent is doing it? C’mon now.
Our state or states, our country is looking for a leader not a giant pansy that would blame others for whatever their beliefs are or what they have done. This is why nobody really pays attention to politics anymore and it shoots us in the foot then we get butt hurt bcause the person that won is making the decisions that we know are hurting the state and/or nation.
