So it has came down to three choices for Peyton Manning in which team he’ll want to play for; Denver broncos, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers.

Manning has said he wants to stay in the AFC, because he knows the competition the best over in that conference than over in the NFC.  But you can make the argument that the 49ers are the best put together team from the NFC in his race.

Below are my three choices for Manning can choose from; (from least to best):

Least:  Tennessee Titans.  They’re not as they were during the Jeff Fisher era obviously.  They got a mediocre team and two startable quarterbacks on the Roster (Matt Hassleback and second-year player Jake Locker).  Their o-line is achor’d by a recent addition in Guard Steve Hutchnison (who’s learning the system right now and their best o-lineman) and no running game.

Middle of the pack:  Denver Broncos.  Similar to the 49ers in offense and defense, but are slacking by a half-step by their NFC counterparts (due to young age).  They received some momentum from Tim Tebow late last season and, in my opinion, don’t need to ruin the mojo behind that right now as Tebow-mania is at it’s up-slope.  Best AFC option because the Broncos are a half step away from their Elway-era days and the AFC West is a cake walk of a conference.

Best Option:  San Francisco 49ers.  The franchise has been struggling with QB issues since Jeff Garcia left in 2002 (their last winning season and playoff appearance prior to this past season).  They got the tools, like Denver, to go deep into the playoffs.  Solid running game, good threats to get the ball and one of the best D’s in the past few years.  The good thing about playing for the Niners and the NFC, no Tom Brady and the Patriots and no worry about the Ravens D with the only true threat is Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.  There also the best bet for the super bowl compare to the two teams mention above.

Regardless of where Peyton Manning goes, he’ll make them into a playoff contentor.  If he can make the Colts to go from 1-15 in 1997 to Super Bowl appearances, it is possible.
