Local Track Round-Up

Silverton and Dallas went one-two in the Garden City Invitational, 3A Jefferson did well at the Oakland Twilight.while North Salem and South Salem were at the Dean Nice Invitational.  

Here are some notables from Friday’s and Saturday’s Events:

Oakland Twilight.

Jefferson

Flor Ruiz-Jimenez finished second in the 400-meter race (1:10.78PR).  Teddy Gorman finished second in the 800-meter race (2:22.19PR).  Osbaldo Vasquez finished second in the 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter races.  Andrew Keena won the High Jump.  Rocky Zachary was second in the Pole Vault (9-feet-6-inch PR).  Holly Gay was second in Pole Vault, fifth in the Long Jump (13-feet-3-inch PR).  Jayden Harrison was third in the Javelin.

Garden City Invitational

Silverton

The Silverton Boys and Girls squads won the Garden City Event with 141 (Boys) and 164 (Girls) Team points.

Quinton Powell won the 1,500-meter dash with a 4:16.70 PR.  Jackson Pfeifer finished second in the 100-meter dash and Housten Kuenzi finished second in the 300-meter Hurdles (43.87 PR).  The Foxes Boys (David Hari, Cohen Mulick, Tyler Pooleon and Emmett Harris) and the Girls (Sicily Becerra, Nora Morrison, Brooklyn Schurter and Kirsten Kuenzi) finished second in the 4×100 meter relays.  Madison Stackpole won the Shot Put and the Discus (109-foot-3-inch PR). Brooklyn Pfeifer won the High Jump (4-feet-10-inch PR) as did Josef Dettwyler on the boys side. Lauren Ortega won the Long Jump with Kirsten Kuenzi second in the event.Sam Schaffers was second in the Shot Put.  Joel Rush won the Pole Vault and Steeley Mucken won the Long Jump.  David Hari finished second in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.  Kyla Wlch was second in the Triple Jump

Dallas

The Dallas Boys and Girls Teams finished second in the team points  Marley Lamb won the 800-meter race.  Isaiah Mosley won the 110-meter hurdles (16.90 PR) with Wyatt Sarsland second in the event..  Annika Morrow finished second in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.  Jazmine Irving finished second in the 1,500-meter race with a 5:15.11 PR.  Dakoda Bennett won the Javelin (126-feet-7-inch PR), Javonte Williams won the Discus (133-feet-4-inch PR) with Steven Ward second.  Avri Bennett won the Javelin with Dominic Sobota second.  Elizabeth Walker was second in the High Jump.  Jonathan Deming was second in the Pole Vault

Gervais

Gotti Ramon won the Triple Jump while finishing fourth in the 100-meter dash and fifth in the 200-meter dash.  Monty Andres was third in the High Jump   Izzy Boyd finished second in the Shot Put, fourth in the Discus.  Olivia Boyd was second in the Javelin (112-feet-7-inch PR) and tied for third in the Pole Vault with Dallas’ Janna Deming at 6-feet-6-inches.

McNary

Kali Ellis won the 1,500-meter race (5:05.16 PR).  The McNary 4×400 Meter Relay Boys Team of Pawit Potisuk, Pawat Potisuk, Zachary Harrington and Benjamin Sheets won the event.  Kiana Olivo finished second in the 400-meter race (1:00.95 PR).  Benjamin Sheets was second in the 400-meter race (51.83PR)  Lillian Besa finished second in the Discus.

McKay

Abdoulie Jallow won the 400-meter race (51.04 PR).  Isabel Zamora won the 100-meter hurdles (16.30PR) and the Pole Vault (9-feet-6-inches) and was second in the 300-meter hurdles.

Dean Nice Invitational

North Salem

Demari Thompson and Bethany Lawson won the 100-meter dashes.  Thompson won the 200-meter dash, Lawson was third in the 200-meter dash.  Jackie Bier won the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdle races.  The North Salem 4×100-meter Boys Relay team of Pierce Walker, Xander Odom, Erick Gonzalez and Demari Thompson  finished second.  Markio Sonis won the Pole Vault

South Salem

Griffin Haider won the Long Jump.  Mya Fry finished second in the 200-meter dash, was third in the 400-meter race.  Chloe Kolb and Kellen Hayase each finished third in the 800-meter race
