In the top of the 7th he hit a double off the wall in straightaway centerfield to spark an improbable 3-run frame to put South in the lead, 6-5. He went back out onto the mound in the bottom of the 7th and promptly sent the heart of the Cougars’ lineup down in order to seal the win.
Earlier in the week, with the game tied 2-2 in the top of the 7th against Roseburg, Ryan started a 2-run rally by hitting a 1-out double into the left field corner.
