Local Track Round-Up: Sandy Invitational and Titan Track Classic

Gervais, St. Paul, the 6A Salem schools, Dallas, Central and Stayton were in action Friday and Saturday at the Sandy Invitational and the Titan Track Classic. Here’s a little rundown, my apologies if I forgot anyone.

Sandy Invitational

Gervais

 Lilly McCargar finished fourth in the javelin. .  Gervais Olivia Boyd won the High Jump Title with a 5-foot-2-inch jump.  Boyd was also eighth in the Javelin. Izzy Boyd was third in the Triple Jump and was fifth in the shot put. Gotti Ramon finished third in the Triple Jump with a 38-foot-9.5-inch PR  Ramon was also fifth in the 200-meter dash.  Isaiah Martushev was fourth in the Pole Vault

St. Paul

The St. Paul 4×400-meter team of Mason Cacka, Ralph Pohlschneider, Branson Cook and Gage Cook finished fourth.  The St. Paul 4×100 meter team of Ariana Campos, Meredith Coleman, Halsie Hempfling and Gracie Koch finished seventh 

St. Paul’s Jackson Cook was third in the Long Jump and fifth in the Triple Jump with a 38-feet-2-inch PR.  Branson Cook was sixth in the Triple Jump with a 37-feet-9.5-inch PR.   St. Paul’s Gage Cook was fifth in the 100-meter dash.  Ralph Pohlschneider was sixth in 400-meter. 

Gracie Koch was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles.  
Titan Track Classic

Local Girls Nortables

West Salem’s Olivia Jolivette, Dallas’ Annika Morrow and the Titans Amaya Huggins finished second through fifth in the 100-meter dash.  Morrow finished fourth in the 200-meter dash and North Salem’s Bethany Lawson was fifth in the 200-meter dash

Stayton’s Haley Butenschoen won the 400-meter race

West Salem’s Avery Meier and Sprague’s Kaydence Nguyen went one-two in the 800-meter race.  Meier also won the 1,500 meter race with a 4:54.92 PR.

West Salem’s Gitte Lonigan, Stayton’s Hope Bridge (11:06.84 PR) and the Titans Abby Evans (11:15.57PR) went 2-4 in the 3,000-meter race

North Salem’s Jackie Bier and West Salem’s Madison Forest finished second and fourth respectively in the 100 meter hurdles.  Bier and Forest went second and third in the 300-meter hurdles.

West Salem’s Morgan Dorsey-DuQuesne won the shot put with a PR throw of the 36-feet-7-inches.  McNary’s Asia St. John was third in the event.  St. John finished fourth in the javelin and Dorsey-DuQuesne  was fifth.  West Salem’s Olivia Powell was second in the javelin.

Dallas’ Evie Oliff won the discus with a 95-foot-5-inch PR.  Dayton’s Konstance Albright was fifth in the Discus.  Dallas’ Dakoda Bennett was third in the javelin.

Sprague’s Jaida Carodine finished second in the High Jump with Olympian teammate Gwenyth Duncan was fourth.  Dallas’Elizabeth Walker was fifth in the High Jump with a 4-foot-5-inch PR.

North Salem’s Mariko Sonis and Myca Saladaga went one-two in the Pole Vault.  Sprague’s Sage Taloyo and West Salem’s Alessia Lemeza went third and fourth

West Salem’s Olivia Jolivette (third) and Dallas’ Kiana Olivo (fifth) placed Top five in Long Jump.  

Central’s Amanda McArthur won the Triple Jump and the Panthers  Sadie Wendring was third iand Sprague’s Jaida Carodine was fourth in the event.

Local Boys Notables

North Salem’s Demari Thompson, West Salem’s Mihaly Akpamgbo and the Vikings Erick Gonzalez went two, three and five int the 100-meter dash.

Central’s Jack Burgett won the 400 meter race

Dominic Stephens, Justin Bell and Carter Parent went 1-3 in the 800 meter race.  Sprague’s Elean Neval was fourth.

West Salem’s Isaac McDonald, Ryan Newton, Central’s Ty Cirino and the Titans Justin Bell went 1-4 in the 1,500-meter race.  Cirino finished fourth in the 3,000-meter race.

West Salem’s Matthew Nivala and John Bateman went second and third in the 110-meter hurdles.  Sprague’s Shawn Parker was fourth.  Parker finished second in the 300-meter hurdles and Nivala was fifth.

Central’s Gabriel Haines won the shot put with a throw of 45-feet-7.25-inches.  Stayton’s Emmett Riedman, Dallas Jordan Braziel, West Salem’s Makai DeBerry and Sprague’s Tristan Howell went 2-5 in the event.

Central’s Gabriel Haines won the discus with a PR throw of 136-feet-10-inches.  Sprague’s Wil Charles was second, Steven Ward of Dallas was thrid and Stayton’s Emmett Riedman was fourth

Dallas’ Avri Bennett, West Salem’s Makai DeBerry went one-two in the javelin.  Dallas’ Dominic Sobota and Tyler Hawkins went four and five in the event.

Dallas’ William Walker, West Salem’s Connor Oertel and Mobolaji Majekodunmi went 2-4 in the high jump.  Majekodunmi was fifth in the Long Jump. 

Central’s Joshua Peters was second in the Long Jump

Sprague’s Carson Hunsaker was fourth in the PoleVault

Results: Boys: West Salem finished first, Central was fourth, Dallas was sixth, Sprague was seventh and North Salem was eighth. Girls: West Salem was second, Dallas was fourth, North Salem was fifth, Sprague was sixth, Stayton was ninth and McNary was tenth
