Here’s a little round-up of the State Wrestling Tournaments up at Veterans Memorial Coliesum in Portland with placers of all the local Salem-area kids from the last three days. Let me know if I left anyone out, I’ll add them on here if I accidentally did.

6A

West Salem’s Reese Lawson becomes the first Titan female State Winner with a first round pin at 145 pounds.  Corbyn Taylor  finished sixth at 170 pounds. 

McNary’s Max Blanco won the 106 pound State Title. Josh Friesen also won the 170 pound title as did Ali Martinez at 190.

South Salem’s Alex Decrozuic finished second at 220 pounds. Anton Chacon finished second at 160 pounds

North Salem’s Mariko Sonis won the 120 pound Girls Wrestling Title.  Icela Sanchez Rodriguez finished second at 145.   Aundre Chacon (113) was third.  Telsarina Walter finished fourth at 105  The Vikings girls wrestling team finished sixth in the 6A/5A division

Sprague’s Andrey Cernev (126), Josh Camillo (152) finished third.  Seth Carp (138), was sixth

Dallas’ Polly Olliff (105) won the State Title.  The Dragons Carsen Atterbury (106) was State Runner-Up. Cole Langford was fourth at 182 pounds.Jose Romero  (126), Andrew Craven (132), Isaac Jones (138) were sixth as Dallas finished seventh as a team in 5A. Emilio Rocha (195) and Eli Nava (220) were fourth and fifth respectively in their weight brackets.

Central’s Ethan Dunigan won the 152 pound State Title. Jose Lugo finished sixth at 195 pounds.

McKay’s Sarahi Chavez was State Runner-Up at 100.  Angelina Paniagua  (105), Anabel Rivera (115) were third with the Scots finishing third as a team in the 6A/5A Girls Tournament.

Silverton’s Steven Powell (182) and Brash Hederson (220) each finished State Runner-Up, Kingston Meadors (106) finished third.  Bo Zurcher(132), Oscar Marks (160) were fourth.  McKayla Bonham (125),  Lilly Kamstra (140) also finished fourth

Woodburn’s Jasmine Lopez finished State Runner-Up at 170 pounds.  Benito Roman (145) finished fourth.

Stayton’s Conrad Baxter (120) finished State Runner-Up.

Cascade’s Blake Perlichek (195) and Nicholas Lopez (285) each finished State Runner-Up.Tucker Melton (182) finished fourth. Brody Copple (126), Trenton Wymore (145) finished sixth.  Evelyn Wirfs (170) finished fourth as the Cougars finished sixth as a team at the State meet.

3A

Jefferson’s Gryffen Hamar (138) and Andres Mendoza (106) each finished fifth.

Yamhill-Carlton’s Isaac Tindall (120), Kaleb King (182), Hunter McAvoy  (195) all finished sixth

2A/1A

Kennedy’a Alex Greschwill won the 130 pound title to close out her senior season 27-4.

Gervais’ Sariah Zepeda finished undefeated at 16-0 and won the 135 pound State Title as a junior.

Willamina’s Adoniyah Stanton (120)and Rhyne Nelson (220) finished State Runner-Up.  Kisor Savage (113), Austin Johnson (152) finished third.  Zoe Brewer finished fourth at 100 pounds.

Regis’ Thomas Bischoff won the 170 pound title. Lucas Bischoff finished second at 160 pounds.
