Wrestling Round-Up

The Dallas Boys and Girls Wrestling teams won team titles at Liberty. The Dayton Girls did well in Grants Pass as the McKay Girls won the Thurston Girls Tournament Title, and the Willamina Wrestling team also brought home a Team Title from the Bill Hagerty Tournament.

Here’s a little round-up:

Liberty HS Boys 2022 InvitationalDallas won the Liberty Tournament with 245.5 team points.  The Dragons were led byJose Romero (132) and Isaac Jones (145), who won their respective weight classes.  Blake Atterbury (145) Keenan Serafin (138),Cole Langford (182)Emiliano Rocha (195) were runner-ups in their weight classes.

Silverton’s Steven Powell (182) won his weight division while Brash Henderson (220) finished second to help lead a Foxes squad that finished fifth in team points at 165.5.

Liberty HS Girls 2022 Invitational 

The Dallas Girls Wrestling team took the team title with 110 team points as Ah Pymm McDaniel(100),  Polly Olliff (105) won their weights and Katie Smith (105) finished third.  Ivy McIntosh (120) finished fifth.

Kennedy’s Alex Geschwill won the 140 pound division. McNary’s Ali Martinez won the 190 pound division, the Celtics Adriann Durkin (105) was second.Kaliyanei Hil (130) was third as McNary finished ninth as a team.Larry Owings Invitational (Canby)

West Salem’s Ryder Nelson (106), Woodburn’s Benito Roman (145) won their respective weights as the Bulldogs finished sixth and the Titans seventh in Team Points

Girls 2022 Grants Pass Winter Kickoff 

The Dayton Girls Team finished fourth as a team at the Girls 2022 Grants Pass Winter Kickoff with Tana Williams (135) finishing Runner-Up, Lillie Brooks (125) finished third.  Mariah Gentry and Kiara Rios each finished fourth for the Pirates.

Thurston Tournament 

The McKay Boys team finished fourth as a team while the Scots girls won the Thurston Girls Tournament with 229 team points.Sarahi Chavez (100) won her respective weight while Nuri Castillo (170), Brenda Ceja (155), Jaleata Rodriguez (125), Dariana Campos Ponce (115), Angelina Paniagua (110) and Sharnel Gonzalez (105) all finished Runner-Up in their respective weights.

Bill Hagerty 2022

Willamina won the Bill Hagerty Team Title with 172.5 team points with Kisor Savage (113), Adonijah Stanton (126), Matthew Eddy (160) and Bodhi Baller (220) all won their respective weights.

Amity’s Steven Dewees (113)and Schein Lieuallen (195) finished Runner-Up in their respective weights as the Warriors finished fourth in the team points.
