SALEM, Ore.– Logan Smith will be taking his talents to the College of the Redwoods this upcoming Fall. Looking to hone in his ability and skills as a quarterback moving into his next chapter of his football career.
“I can improve by continuing to go to the field and throw multiple times a week, and also by studying big time college QBs and learn how they do things,” Smith said. “Sprague helped me learn how to make decisions on the fly and strive for perfection on every throw which has really helped me become the QB I am today.
“
The main thing that stuck out to me (about College of the Redwoods) was the coaches and how interested they are in me. I really felt wanted by all the coaches. I have big goals of playing D1 football in the future and in order to reach that I need to put on about 15-20 pounds going into this next season as well as continuing to improve as a QB. Also I need to be ready to compete everyday and never give up on my dream!”
Smith was an Honorable Mention Mountain Valley Conference selection at Quarterback, helping Sprague to a 6-4 record and 3-3 in league play with the Olympians reaching the opening round of the 6A playoffs. Falling to Mountainside 13-6 as Smith joins a College of the Redwoods that has recently rebooted their program after it was shelved in 2020 due to budget issues in the Summer 2020. The Fall of 2022 will be their first season back in action.
