TURNER, Ore.– It took until the second quarter for Cascade to come around against Tillamook Thursday night.
The short week seemed to have played tricks on the Cougars in the first quarter with two fumbles and the Cheesemakers even with them at seven going into the second quarter.
But thanks to a three-touchdown second quarter, with touchdowns from Jacob Hage (55-yards), a Isaac Schneep scoop-and-score off a blocked punt and Blake Lewis (36-yards), Cascade went into the halftime break up 35-13.

The Cougars continued their trek into the second half. Rogue Newton struck from 73, Lewis (37-yards), Lance VanHoose (48-yards) and Kellen Sande (14-yards) helped tack onto the lead as Cascade walked away 62-20 winners. The running game garnered over 600-yards unofficially as the Cougs improved to 4-0 on the year.
Gilbert Whitlatch, Tanner Hoskins scored two of the three touchdowns for Tillamook in the game.
Cascade opens Oregon West Conference-play next Friday against Woodburn. Kick off is at 7pm.
