1A-6A Softball/Baseball Scoreboard

Strong pitching performances by Perrydale and Dallas softball as well as Central and Salem Academy baseball was met by good hitting by West Salem and Stayton baseball Monday around the Greater Salem-Area.

Here’s a round-up:

6A

McNary’s Lacey Vasas struck out six and went 2-for-4 hitting in the Celtics 7-3 win over Corvallis.  Jada Bratsouleas went 2-for-4 for the Spartans

West Salem’s Shelby Chapman, Maison Searle and Allayna Broadway all hit Home Runs in the Titans 11-1 win over Sprague.  Sophia Honse struck out 11 for the Olympains and was 2-for-3 hitting with an RBI

5A

Morgan Dippel hit a solo Home Run in the fifth inning of Dallas’ 7-0 win over Central.  Kadence Morrison (six) and Katie Buchholz (seven) combine for 13-strikeouts in the win.  Central’s Peyton Foreman led the Panthers with two hits.

4A

Cascade’s Hannah Walliman struck out six in the Cougars tough 8-0 defeat to Newport.  Gracie Van Agtmael had the lone extra base hit (double) in the game for Cascade.

1A

Perrydale’s Courtney Reed struck out 12 in six innings while going 2-for-4 with 2RBIs in their 7-6 win over Amity JV

Baseball

6A

South Salem’s Tyler Minney struck out four in six innings and Andy Ruiz went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the Saxons 5-4 defeat to West Albany 

West Salem scores six runs in the fourth inning in their 7-5 win over Sprague.

5A Baseball

Central 3-1 victory over Dallas. Malachi McCormick pitched a 16-strikeout, complete game against the Dragons.  Nolan Peterson drove in the line run for Dallas.

Dillan Brady had the lone hit for North Salem in the Vikings 13-0 defeat to Lebanon

4A

Brock Hubert and Nick Frith each had 2RBIs in Stayton’s 13-7 win over Woodburn.  Bulldogs struck out seven Eagle batters amongst four pitchers 

2A Baseball

Regis’ Max Eaton, Ben Crowell and Mason Koenig all collected a hit in the Rams tough 12-2 loss to Monroe.

Salem Academy’s Jonathan Coulter-Pride struck out ten in seven innings and was 3-for-4 hitting in the Crusaders 5-3 win over Colton.

Jefferson falls to Central Linn 9-5
