Sprague (Boys) and North Salem (Girls) Split. South Salem (Boys) and McKay (Girls) split and West Salem swept McNary. Here’s a round-up of the Track and Field results from Monday:
South Salem @McKay
McKay’s James Jennings won the 100- and 200-meter dashes. The Scots Atilano Davalos won the 110-meter (18.55) and 300-meter Hurdles (47.90) in PR fashion. McKay’s Mercy Siro won the Discus and Javelin. South Salem’s Nissa Watkins won the Triple Jump, was second in the 300-meter hurdles and was fourth in the Long Jump. The Saxons Ian Clawson won the Discus with a 148-fett-6-inch PR and was second in the shot put with a 44-feet-9-inch PR. South Salem Boys defeated McKay 60.5-56.5 and the Scots defeated the Saxons 64-57 in the Girls team points.
North Salem @ Sprague
DeMari Thompson won the 100-, 200-meter dashes. PR-ing in the 200 (23.89). Sprague’s Tucker Piper won the 1,500 (4:17.83) and 3,000 (10:01.44) meter dashes, both PR’s. North Salem’s Raymond Daniel won the 110- and 300-meter hrudles. The Vikings Nerissa Thompson won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and Jackie Bier won the 100-meter and 300-meter Hurdles. Gabrielle Tata-Rodrigues won the Shot Put and Discus events. Sprague won the Varsity Men’s (72-63) and North Salem won the Varsity Women’s (101-37).
McNary @ West Salem
The Titans Tyce Chancey won the 200-meter (22.93) and 400-meter (49.88) dashes. The Titans Judah Aliifua won the Javelin, 110-meter (17.62 PR) and 300-meter hurdles). West Salem’s Rian Canini won the High Jump, Pole Vault and Long Jumps. On the girls side, the Titans Baylee Butler PR’d in the 100 (13.52) and 200-meter dashes (28.43), winning both events and West Salem’s Natalie Cunningham won the Discus and shot put.
The Celtics saw Karla Rodirgue PR in the 3,000 meters (12:14.25), winning the event. Isabella Walker win the 300-meter hurdles. Lisa Hoang win the Pole Vault. Dyami Rios won the 100-meter dash in 11.64 seconds. Gulian Campos took the discus by under a foot (104-feet to Celtics Spencer Millis 103-feet-11-inch throw). West Salem Boys (113-29) and the Titan Girls (85-38) won the duel.
