DALLAS, Ore.– Dallas’ Cael Morrison, coming off of State Finishes of fourth (twice at 106 and 113) and fifth at 132 the past three seasons, will be taking his talent from one powerhouse program to another at the collegiate level.
It was announced Saturday that Morrison will be taking his talents to Ashland to wrestle for Joel Gibbons and the Raiders of Southern Oregon University. The Raiders, in dual meets as of 2021, are 568-228-7 with four NAIA Titles and a handful of National Honors in their program history.
For Morrison, he’s not nervous. He actually draws similarities to the family atmosphere between Southern Oregon University and with the Dragons wrestling program.

“Dallas has always had a family type bond with each other and I feel like Southern Oregon has that same thing,” Morrison said, who will be wrestling at either 133 or 141 in college. “I’m not too nervous. My coaches at Dallas have always had so much confidence in me so that definitely has helped me.
“Just a lot of great people in one room. Super grateful to have them!”
Morrison points to his coaches to help him out to set him up for success as he waits for what comes of his Senior season on the mat. The season is currently scheduled for May in Oregon, but Morrison has been putting in work on his own by traveling to other States to compete.
