SALEM, Ore.– Just as talks of 7-on-7 Football league is in the works and coming to fruition this Fall, the South Salem football program will put together a once-a-week, six-week lineman camp for the South Salem Saxon feeder area.
Ages will be for anyone between fourth and eighth-grade at Morginside Park at 1330 Ewald Ave. S between 5:30-7:30pm from September 22 until October 27.
It is a free Camp for any 4th through 8th grader in the South Salem Feeder area to learn correct technique, terminology and work on their flexibility, speed and athleticism on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. There will be work on snapping and long snapping of football.

Coaches involved with the club includes Saxon Youth Football Coaches Alex Fuimaono, Funaki Letisi, Bryan Streety, and Brian Greer. South Salem Line coaches Steve Norris, Colin Meir, and Skyler McManus. Saxon Head Coach Scott DuFault and assistant coach Jake DuFault, plus some guest coaches along the way.
“This a great chance to get kids outside and being active,” said South Salem Head Football Coach Scott DuFault. “This will be a great opportunity to work on fundamentals and have fun. Our High school staff is excited to be involved!”
All the campers will sign the COVID-19 waiver and will do and fill-out a COVID-19 symptoms every week before the start of each session. Mask will be required and each camper will get a Saxon gator mask that will be worn when six-feet of distance can’t be maintained.
