SALEM, Ore.– Stayton-grad Jared Mitchell threw a complete-game, two-hit, six-strikeout gem against the Olympians of Sprague Saturday as the Bandits won their second of two games at Holland Youth Park 10-0. Stayton eeked out a 3-2 win over Central in their doubleheader opener, the Panthers Issac White and the Bandits Wyatt Connally each struck out five in complete- game efforts.
The Panthers won an ten-inning game over the Titans Baseball Club of West Salem 3-2 Saturday morning at Holland to start the four-game slate.
Valley Baseball Club ended the four-game series with a 14-1, five-inning win over the Olys. Simon Mathios struck out 11 as Jamison Martin went 3-for-3 with 4RBI’s in the win for Valley. Brett Hassoun drove in the only run for Sprague in the bottom of the third inning.
The NW Vandals 11U squad outscored their opposition 39-13 in their two wins Saturday in Keizer. Tegan S. hit three of the Vandals six home runs, going 5-for-8 with 10RBI’s. Benjamin G. drove in 5RBI’s on 4-for-7 hitting for the NW Vandals 11U.
The West Salem Titans 13U squad split their two games in Keizer, also at Keizer Little League, edging the NW Diamond Sports 14-13 before falling to NW Diamond 8-6 in their second game. Chase Garland was 3-for-6 with 3RBI’s and a home run, striking out one in an inning pitching. Drew Bartels was 3-for-5 with 5rbis and two strikeouts in an inning pitching.
