Gearing Up For Lake O

SALEM, Ore.–  The jamboree week does have a way to help give teams an advantage entering Week 1 of the season.

While Lake Oswego didn’t participate in an jamboree in preparation for their trip and game against West Salem Friday, the Titans hosted their jamboree this past Friday to knock off the cobwebs and rust entering their tough test ahead with the Lakers to open the season.

“It was good for everybody to mesh together and tune things up right before we go into Week 1 against Lake Oswego,” said Jackson Lowery.  “This week, we just got to get everything together and work on the little things like alignment, things such as that.”

Lake Oswego defeated West Salem 48-21 to kick off last season on the road to their 12-1 State Championship run with their lone loss coming from Clackamas on September 21.

But as they watched film from last season and seeing how they would do against it with the team they have entering Friday’s game just in case they see those same looks again this season.  Knowing that the little things like alignment could be the difference in a win or loss to start their 2019 campaign as they went to work Monday afternoon after film.

“It’s going to be very important.  Espically against a team like Lake O, they’re coming off a State Championship and we’re ready to take it to them.  Not give it to them easily.  If we get the little things right, better chance for us and harder for them,” said Kaden Reidhead.  “We’re just going to play hard.  Really hard and not going to make it easy for them.”

Kick-off is at 7pm.
