SALEM, Ore.–  With Anthony Gould’s five touchdown first half awaiting a few hours later in the Varsity’s 56-27 win over Bend’s Varsity squad, the West Salem Titan JV squad found themselves rolling.

With Jake Tinseth playing just the first half and Jackson Lowery and Brandon Eyre switching every other quarter at Quarterback, the Titans JV were up 41-0 by the halftime break.

With the guys floating in and out, some going into the locker room already preparing for the Varsity game while others get a few more reps in during the JV game, the West JV squad continued their roll as Nate Garcia’s interception and Zairya Powell’s big reception set up Aiden Rojas’ touchdown scamper from about seven yards out to start the running clock up 48-0.

“It was great just to finish the game just like we started it,” said Garcia.  “Hopefully we can have a great week at practice next week and just prepare.”

The Titans JV squad has a tough challenge in front of them with the JV squad from Jesuit as the Lava Bears broke the shut out in the fourth quarter of Friday afternoon’s game, and to prepare for that game starts with mental focus said Lowery.

“Moving forward we just got to stay focused, we got to come to practice everyday and give it our all and go fast with whatever we’re going,” said Lowery.
