SALEM, Ore.–  As they return from the third-annual  Game Scouted League Indoor Baseball tournament this past weekend, the 12U team out of SWAT Baseball showcased some great defense by allowing just one run in two games on Saturday.

Brady Stoops threw a complete game, five-inning contest and permitted just four hits while Chase Morets threw a complete game shutout win against the Sluggers Baseball out of Vancouver, Washington.  Morets and his defense only allowed four hits when Morets was on the hill.

During the tournament, SWAT turned five double-plays while picking off seven base-runners as the squad finished third in the tournament.

“This team continues to develop, they are extremely hard working and they love being on the field. I’ve had this team for a few years and they just keep surprising me every tournament,” said Coach Alex Alvarado.  “The experience was amazing, getting invited to play in these type of tournaments is always a blessing.”

The tournament that SWAT attended allows the players an opportunity to play in front of college scouts as the players prepare and improve with high school baseball on the horizon.
