Tough Way To Start The Season

MT. ANGEL, Ore.– It wasn’t the start in which Amity Girls Basketball wanted to start off the 2017 season.

Struggles started early with turnovers and being out-rebound as Kennedy opened with a 41-9 lead entering the second half of the 75-25 win on the first day of the season for the Lady Warriors and across the State Wednesday.

“We can definitely get our nerves out of the way now and push ourselves to become better,” said Morgan Croxford. “We can push ourselves to be better and lower the mistakes that we made in this game and focus on those.”

With their next few games on the road at the La Pine Tournament and then visiting Salem Academy Tuesday in Salem, Amity can use this as momentum and fuel towards a positive fashion knowing that they can do better than they showed on Wednesday.

“Just turn something negative and turn it into something positive,” said Hannah Hatch.  “Use it to push us, we don’t want to feel like this ever again.”

Their first game of the La Pine Tournament is at 4:45pm versus Burns.
