SALEM, Ore.– With both team’s entering Monday Night’s match-up at 3-3, both South and McKay were pretty much even entering the second-half on the scoreboard though penalties killed the Scots in the opening half; but McKay led 7-6 entering the third thanks to a Janderi Perez fumble recovery in the end-zone that helped the Scots gain the lead.
The Saxons Zachary Case broke loose on a play to put South up 14-7 after Case ran in the two-point conversion.
Penalties continued to hurt McKay (3-4) in the second half as Aden Hyatt and the Scots couldn’t duplicate their comeback magic they had last Monday against Glencoe with the Saxons (4-3) taking home the 14-7 win in front of their home-crowd.
